Web Site Enhancements

Eugene 4j's  Web platform allows staff to publish materials using a tailored workflow for approvals. They selected us to enhance the information architecture to support a significant increase in authors and content from multiple departments.

Scope. After helping 4j launch their new Web site into production in 2007, we were asked to further enhance their Drupal-powered Web platform to support multiple departments with a universal information architecture and editorial workflow. In addition, we conducted an analysis of the strategic value of the Web and how to leverage that for other district initiatives. We delivered a comprehensive set of findings and recommendations for action.

Results. We improved the ease of navigation and finding desired materials, as reported by informal surveys. The Web strategy work helped frame the need to address systemic challenges in how the district organizes its departments and supports a community of professional colleagues.
